The Bistrot Bar

With the futuristic design of the Tony Bar Bistrot in Lecce you might not expect it also boasts a vintage touch; in 1969 it originally opened as a beauty salon. The look, which the managers deliberately left unchanged, on one hand expresses nostalgia for the past and on the other offers a glimpse into the future. The designer armchairs, the floors, the spherical mirrors and the ladies’ hair dryer hoods stand out as some of the original features that have been repurposed. You might be surprised by the high ceiling made of recycled material cut in different sizes. As you enter you will notice the beautiful wooden molding of the doors and a stunning mirrored chest of drawers. These works of craftsmanship are not available anywhere today. They are kept in excellent condition and are impeccably maintained. This interior architecture located on the outskirts of lecce’s historic city center now returns to life as a bistro and a cocktail bar. Here one will find a leitmotif of gold, black and white and a contemporary offering of relaxing food and drink. As you step into the venue you immediately spot a white sphere on a golden background giving the impression of boarding a spaceship. Where  to? Heaven for all of your senses.
